The A-590 is a PCI Express host controller that delivers eight high-speed SATA Gen III (6 Gbps) channels, bringing professional-grade storage capabilities to desktop systems and workstations. Designed for reliable performance, this card enables maximum SATA III 6 Gbps bandwidth for high-capacity hard drives and SSDs, while maintaining full backward compatibility with legacy SATA 1.5 Gbps and 3.0 Gbps drives. It supports connecting up to eight SATA devices via two high-density internal mini-SAS (SFF-8087) connectors. Each channel delivers full throughput up to 6 Gbps when installed into a PCI Express 2.0 slot with four or more lanes.
