Built around the ASMedia ASM1061 chipset and utilizing a PCIe 2.0 x1 host interface, this Serial ATA Revision 3.0 compliant controller supports high-speed 6G, 3G, and 1.5G SATA hard drives. The adapter features flexible physical routing with two external eSATA ports and two internal SATA ports, allowing system integrators to activate any two ports simultaneously. Equipped with Native Command Queuing (NCQ), Port Multiplier support, and full hot-swap capability, the A-480 ensures reliable, low-overhead SATA connectivity for expanding storage infrastructure.
